Meridian's groundwater averages 260 PPM TDS and 16 grains per gallon — some of the hardest water in the Treasure Valley. Aqua Source custom-builds systems for Meridian's specific water chemistry. Same-day estimates across all of Meridian.
Meridian's water supply comes from SUEZ Water Idaho, drawing from deep groundwater wells throughout the Treasure Valley aquifer. The water passes through mineral-rich geological layers, picking up high concentrations of calcium and magnesium before it reaches your tap.
The result is an average hardness of 15–17 grains per gallon, around 260 PPM TDS, and a slightly alkaline pH. Meridian's rapid growth has added thousands of new homes on groundwater that ranks consistently among the hardest in the valley.

Meridian's water is supplied by SUEZ Water Idaho drawing from deep Treasure Valley aquifer wells. The water travels through limestone and basalt formations, accumulating calcium and magnesium. This results in 15–17 gpg hardness (around 260 PPM TDS) — classified as 'very hard' by USGS standards.
Yes. At 16 gpg, Meridian's water causes visible scale buildup on fixtures, reduces appliance lifespan, and dries out skin and hair. A properly sized softener eliminates these issues and pays for itself in extended appliance life within a few years.
We serve all of Meridian including Paramount, Bridgetower, West Meridian, South Meridian, Ten Mile Crossing, Lake Hazel, Downtown Meridian, and all surrounding zip codes. Same-day estimates throughout the city.
